The Festival of Lights

Hanukkah is the commemoration of the Maccabees cleansing the temple after it was desecrated by the occupying forces. When the Maccabees re-entered the Temple they lit the candelabra and realized that there was only enough oil for one day, yet miraculously the oil kept the candelabra lit for eight days. Each year this cleansing of the temple is commemorated by the lighting of the Menorah for eight days in the celebration of Hanukkah.

As we celebrate the Festival of Lights, Mehron wishes everyone a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful Hanukkah during this time of remembrance.
