In 2011 the choice of makeup colors is astounding. A little over eighty years ago around the time of the foundation of Mehron Makeup, the two basic Theatrical Makeup Colors were Black and White. No just in the new medium, the Motion Picture, but also on stages and performances as varied as the opera and the circus, Black and White were the predominant Makeup colors used at the time. In the beginning Mehron Clown White won as instant audience from the Clown Tent of circuses to the Stages of Broadway. The purity, brightness and longevity of Clown White was a hit with the performers, actresses and actors from the theaters of Broadway to Thomas Edison studios in New Jersey. Mehron also produced a White Greasepaint Makeup and Black Greasepaint Makeup, the Theatrical Makeup that was fine for live performances but proved to be too overbearing on the screen. The refinement of film and the films industry resulted in Max factor formulating Pancake Makeup, which was replacing Greasepaint Makeup on Movie Sets.
Mehron didn't invent Pancake Makeup but did instill it with a whiter white and blacker black, Mehron Black and White Makeup was joined over eight decades by hundreds of colors across a wide range of Makeup Product Lines formulated by the color master researchers and developers at Mehron Makeup. Today a color depth that will satisfy almost any makeup need is available through Mehron along with Black and White. Although the depth and range of colors to choose from, Black and White are still among the most popular. At the May 2011 Face and Body Art International Convention (FABAIC), an annual event for Makeup Professionals and Novices held in Orlando, Fl. USA, Jinny was busy at the Mehron Exhibition Booth demonstrating the use of Black and White Paradise AQ on Model Sindy Perez.
With Jinny, Black and White take on a whole new meaning , by her use and control of blending, shading, and mixing to produce Black and White Body Paintings that, although just Black and White, project a new meaning to Black and White Makeup. Paradise Makeup AQ was co-created by Jinny and the Mehron Team. Since its introduction, Paradise Makeup AQ has been a favorite of Face and Body Painting Makeup Artists around the world. At FABAIC 2011, Jinny showed why she has been called "The First Lady of Face Painting" by the press. Her control of not only the Makeup Brush and Sponge, but of the texture, depth and hue of basic Black and White Paradise Makeup AQ Makeup. Using only Black and White, the Body Art by Jinny on Model Sindy Perez at the 2011 FABAIC, projects a completed Body Painting that appears to have more than two colors of Makeup, yet it was created with only Black and White Makeup by Face and Body Painting Makeup Artist Jinny.
