Everyone is thrilled to have their work applauded. Mehron Makeup is of course very proud of recent awards from Essence Magazine and O Magazine for their Beauty Makeup, especially since Beauty Makeup is a fairly new addition to the Mehron Family of Specialty Makeup Products. Winning Beauty Makeup Awards from prestigious Beauty Magazines for a Makeup Line that is in its infancy can not be understated. Throughout the eighty four year history of Mehron Makeup, the accolades have come from the end users. In the roaring 20's, throughout the Great Depression, during world War II and into the stability of the 1950's Mehron Makeup would counted on the end users satisfaction for confirmation that their Makeup was award winning quality. The awards during the first decades were the letters to the the New York Offices of Mehron Makeup from Clowns, Actors, Actresses, Opera Singers, Ballet Dancers, Mimes and Performers of all kinds In 2011, Mehron still hears from the end users of the Mehron Makeup Collection which now includes, Face Painting Makeup artists, Body Painting Makeup Artists and Fashion and Beauty Makeup Artists, although it is most often by email, the sentiments are still the same.
Even after eighty-four years of producing Mehron Clown White, letters about the quality of this Mehron Makeup, that was once the cornerstone of the Mehron Makeup Line are still received at the New York Corporate Headquarters of Mehron Makeup. Recently, a letter written by Hastings Padua was received at Mehron. Just as Mehron is honored to be recognized with an O-Award and The Essence Beauty Award, each of the letters received by Mehron Makeup from the end users are treasured as much as Industry Awards. Mehron Makeup exists for the Actor portraying a Monster, an Actress portraying Ophelia, the Soprano on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera, the Dancer in the footlights of Lincoln Center, the Model on the Runway of New York Fashion Week, the Face Painting Artist at a Community Fair, The Body Painting Artist on the Set of a Commercial, and for everyone who appreciates Makeup that highlights, beautifies and accents with thoroughly researched, formulated ingredients produced in the USA free from animal testing. It goes without saying that Mehron will always have a special place for the clowns, the clown hobbyists and working clowns who appreciate the Professional Clown Makeup by Mehron and recognize that a Clown is a Clown, but a great clown is a Mehron Clown.
Hello and to whom this may concern,
First off, thank you so much for providing clowns with such incredible makeup products. I have used other brands but always come back to Mehron in the end. Although I am far from being a professional clown, I am always excited to use Mehron's clown makeup because of it's durability, vibrancy, and mostly because my skin never breaks out after using it!
I just wanted to share with you that it was one of your clowns that inspired me to pursue clowning as a hobby. It's been probably at least six years since I first saw photos of this clown, at which point I remember researching clowns, particularly whiteface clown makeup. I was probably about 14 or 15 at the time, and had seriously begun pursuing clowning as a hobby. Since then, I have been inspired by his makeup, costume, and character, and quietly attribute my interest in clowning to him. It wasn't until just a few days ago that I finally found his name in the Mehron Clown Makeup catalog, "Nappy" from St. Cloud, MN. I've also seen him model costumes for Priscilla Mooseburger Originals, as well. Now that I am nearly finished with my undergrad education, I am hoping to find an opportunity to clown around seriously, perhaps even join a troupe of some sorts. It is all because of Nappy. Although I'm sure you do not pass out any of your models' info, if you know this clown/person and still keep in touch, please send him my regards and share my story with him.
Again, thank you so, so much! I will always be a clown devoted to Mehron products thanks to the fantastic quality as well as the whiteface clown who inspired it all for me.
