Bolder Brighter Eye Makeup

On page 94 of the July Issue of Beauty launchpad, a Creative Age Publication, the magazine for Professional Beauty Makeup Artists and Stylists, writer Karie L. Frost in her brighter Hue Feature pages writes about a "Brighter Gaze". In this feature Ms. Frost discusses the new trend in brighter eye makeup with Makeup Artist Maria C. Scali. She relates that the days of safe eye makeup color choices like, black, brown and navy are gone. Today Eye Makeup is a rainbow of colors, including colors that were never thought of for eyes like yellow and orange. Ms. Scali explains that if Makeup Artists have clients that are bit skeptical of the new bright colors, which make eyes look brighter and younger, you can ease them into it by applying just a pop of color in the corners, and expand as they feel more comfortable.

June Issue of Beauty Launchpad

The June 2010 Issue of Beauty Launchpad Magazine has hit the stands. In a feature column titled, "Did You Hear?", the Editor highlights Makeup Artists Raedawn Johnson and assistant Melvin Willis for their work on The Dream's new music video, "Love King (Remix)" which featured Mehron Makeup and a cameo appearance by Ludacris. The Mehron Blog revealed this story on April 23, 2010 and gave Mehron Blog readers a sneak peek thanks to Raedawn Johnson, Lead Mehron Makeup Artists at New York Fashion Week in 2009 and 2010. In the May Issue of Beauty Launchpad Magazine there is a feature page entitled Only Hue! Red All About It! which discusses the use of Red Lipstick for the summer.
