The VH1 Save the Music Foundation has been organizing major charity events to raise money and awareness for this vital aspect of American School Children. Without the VH1 Save the Music Foundation's efforts over the last 12 years countless numbers of children in schools would not have had the opportunity to experience hands on music education and would not have had access to musical instruments.

The next major event organized by The VH1 Save The Music Foundation will occur on March 26, 2009. The Event is Titled " One Splendid Evening and will feature John Mayer, Gavin Rossdale, Jordin Sparks, O.A.R., Sara Bareilles, Guster and Erin McCarley on the New Carnival Splendor while the vessel is docked at the Port of San Pedro in Los Angles, CA. Proceeds from One Splendid Evening will benefit the restoration of music education in America's Public Schools and raise awareness about the importance of experiencing music in a child's life.
