A View of the Kostetsos, Mehron Show

Continuing with the Mehron Blog's look at the second pairing of Vassilios Kostetsos and Mehron Makeup at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week which took place on Valentine's Evening 2010 in the heart of New York City, tonight a look from a different angle is presented. Yesterday the Mehron Blog featured the photographs of Alberto Vincenzo Rutolo who along with Photographer Richard Esposito captured the Kostetsos Mehron Show in pictures. Both Photographers who earn their living through their craft have been gracious enough to share their copyrighted work with Mehron Blog Readers. Tonight the Mehron Blog looks through the lens of Richard Esposito's Camera at The Vassilios Kostetsos Fashion highlighted by Mehron Makeup.

Vassilios, Mehron, the Heart of Fashion Week

Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup and Fashion Week
On the evening of the Holiday of the Heart, Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos in conjunction with Mehron Makeup presented his newest Fashion Collection on the runways of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. In homage to his Ancestry, Mr. Kostetsos set the theme of his Fall 2010 Fashion Collection with a quote from Sophocles, "Eros Anikate Machan", translated to English as "Love, invincible in Battle". The 2010 Fall Collection designed by Vassilios highlights the return to vibrant colors in solids and patterns, to accentuate the Kostetsos Collection the Mehron Makeup Team led by Beauty Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson used Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup.

In keeping with the today's new Makeup Look, Raedawn and the Mehron Makeup Team created dramatic eye looks for Vassilios' Women Fashion Models. Using E.Y.E Lashes for length and texture, the Mehron Makeup Artists applied Black Detailz combined with Black Eye Shadow to highlight the depths of the model's eye, a technique that recalls the Glamor Days of Hollywood. Using a makeup tool that wasn't available to the glamorous stars of Hollywood, Mehron Makeup Artists mixed Precious Gems Powder with Mixing Liquid by Mehron which enabled them to accent the Eye Makeup Look with a shimmer that captured the light as the models walked the runway. With Raedawn leading the vision, the Mehron Makeup Artist Team was able to compliment Vassilios Kostetsos' 2010 Fall Makeup collection, picking up on the vibrant colors of the Fashion with the bold colors of Mehron L.I.P. Liner and L.I.P. Color Cream.

For the male models Mr. Kostetsos preferred that the "battle" theme be carried through with Mehron Makeup. Keeping within the Extreme Beauty Makeup Line while borrowing from the techniques used by Face Painters who use Mehron Face Painting Makeup, the Mehron Team of Beauty Makeup Artists used Mehron Mixing Liquid with Metallic Powder. The Makeup for the Male Models using the Metallic Powder and Mehron Mixing Liquid was applied to their faces in the style of the classic Greek Helmet.
Mehron Makeup and Vassilios Kostetsos
The Mehron Makeup Artists were able to tie together the entire Kostetsos' Fall 2010 with colors and products from the Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup Line, completing Vassilios' theme with a Makeup look that complimented each design.

The first pairing of Mehron Makeup and Vassilios Kostetsos was greeted enthusiastically by the fashion press, makeup press and beauty press. If the reaction to the presentation by those who witnessed the event live is any indication, this second partnership between Mehron and Vassilios will not be hampered by a sophomore jinx.

Photographers, Alberto Vincenzo Rutolo and Richard Esposito, captured the event from behind the Makeup mirrors to the Fashion Runway and share their photographs with Mehron Blog readers with the understanding that these photos are copyrighted work and should not be copied or distributed for any purpose without the express written consent of the Photographer. Over the next few weeks, the Mehron Blog will be sharing a host of exclusive photos from the lenses of Mr. Rutolo and Mr. Esposito's cameras from not only the Kostetsos Fashion Collection but also from Fashion Designer Toni Francesc's Fashion presentation that will also feature Makeup Artists with a dressing table full of Mehron Makeup.

Vassilios Kostetsos Fashions with Mehron Makeup

Mehron Makeup Artists prepare Models at New York Fashion WeekFor the second time in six months, Mehron Makeup will join forces with Athens Fashion Designers Vassilios Kostetsos at the New York City Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. In September 2009 Mehron Makeup Artists applied a Fashion Makeup Look to the models who were presenting the Kostetsos Collection to the fashion World at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Under the direction and vision of Freelance Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson a Team of Makeup Artist turned the models wearing the Vassilios Kostetsos Fashion Collection into the likeness of Greek Goddesses and Gods. Using Aura Bronzing Gel by Mehron as a highlighter, the Mehron Makeup Team took their cue from Ms. Johnson, who uses Aura Bronzing Gel on all skin tones to add a naturally appealing glow to any Makeup application.

Ms. Johnson used Aura Bronzing Gel along with Mehron Foundation Makeup for an even facial canvas on which to apply the highlighting Mehron Fashion Makeup to eyes, cheeks and lips. Using a combination of Mehron Makeup, Ms. Johnson achieve a uniform glow on all the models representing the Kostetsos Fashion Designs, yet allowed for an individual look for each model. Although there was a soothing glow emanating from the models of the Kostesos Collection, each model had a distinctive individual look accomplished by the use of enhancing Beauty Makeup by the Mehron Team of Makeup Artists.

For February 2010 the Mehron Makeup Team will again be sponsoring the presentation of the Vassilios Collection at the final Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to be held in Bryant Park, New York City. At this historic finale of the end of an Era in Bryant Park, Mehron Makeup will be present to say farewell to another New York Cultural venue, as Fashion Week will move to Lincoln Center for future events. With a reception that was covered by Make-Up Magazine in September 2009, Mehron made a hit debut at New York Fashion Week. Now participating in the final Fashion Week in Bryant Park, Mehron Makeup continues with its over eight decade ties to New York City. Over eighty years ago only blocks away from Bryant Park, Mehron Makeup was created by hand by the Founder, Mehron Melik. Now in 2010, Mehron Makeup continues to solidify its ties to the City of Theater, The City of Fashion, The City of Music, The City of Film Production, Soap Opera Productions, Music Video Productions and the Cultural Center of the American Arts, New York City, the birthplace of Mehron Makeup.
