Mehron Congratulates the 2011 Emmy Nominees For Makeup

The 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday September 16 at 8:00 PM and will be broadcast on the FOX Television Network. The 2011 Emmy Awards are presented by The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, whose history has taken many twists and turns since its foundation by Syd Cassyd, the legendary ventriloquist Edgar Bergen was its first President, which is fitting as the awarded on January 20, 1949 went to Shirley Dinsdale, a ventriloquist star of a children's television show.

The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has always tried to include all the people that make television possible in their awards, honors and Hall of Fame. It is the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences that recognizes and honors all the various disciplines of the Makeup Artists who are an integral part of creating the stars of television. Wherever there is a television production there are makeup artists, newscasters, talk shows, comedies, weekly series, special productions and yes even the newest wave of reality tv, all employ the talents of the Makeup Artist. Through it all from the first Black and White Broadcast to the new wave of high definition television, the Makeup Artist has been on the set, and Mehron Theatrical Makeup has been ready for them.
