Fashion Shows are to show off Fashion, to appeal to the buyers for exclusive and major retailers, as well as to present the designer's current collection to the world. To complete the Fashion Look, a team of hairstylists and makeup artists are called upon to accentuate the Look that the Designer is trying to achieve for the world debut of their latest Fashion Collection. The Fashion Show begins with the Professional Fashion Designer, a Production and Promotional Staff, Professional Models, Hairstylists and Makeup Artists. Each of these Professionals are highly skilled in their field of endeavor and although working independently of each other their work must mesh together to have a successful Runway Debut.
The Makeup Artists working on a fashion Week Presentation must be aware of all the other facets of the show. They must know the colors and themes of the fashions that will be presented, the hairstyles that will be used and the lighting that the production staff will be using. Once all this is known, the Key Makeup Artist will sketch out the look that will be most appropriate to complete the Look of the Show. Eye Makeup is a most important aspect of the complete makeup look, especially in the spotlight of the runway. KJ Bennett and the Mehron Makeup Artists used the products from the Mehron Extreme Beauty Makeup Collection to highlight the eyes of the thirty five models who walked the runway for in the Spring 2012 Fashion Collection of Falguni and Shane Peacock. Hours before Show Time, the Key Makeup Artist, in this case, Kevin James Bennett turns the idea sketch into reality on one of the thirty five models who will walk the Runway throughout the Fashion Show.
