Continuing in the series of the Best of the Mehron Blog postings from 2008, tonight we will rerun a Blog about Award Winning Face and Body Painter Mark Reid. Originally posted on November 3, 2008 and entitled, A Mehron Friend, this particular Mehron Blog highlighted the Mark Reid specialty of painting jeans on with Mehron Makeup. Since this Blog posted Mark Reid has undertaken many Body Painting and Face Painting projects. Mark Reid, Master Body Painter took home the 5th Place Award at the Austria 2009 World Bodypainting Festival held in July in the Brush/Sponge Category. A Great Friend of Mehron is Mr. Mark Reid, a Master Bodypainter. Mark uses Mehron's Paradise Makeup AQ to accomplish a fascinating art. Mr. Reid has taken a step outside the envelope of body painting and has developed a truly amazing niche that he is the master of in the world of artistic body painting with makeup.

Carolyn Roper Wins 1st Place at WBF

Carolyn Roper, the 2007 World Body Painting Champion, took the Award home again in 2009. Ms. Roper who is an accomplished Makeup Artist residing in the United Kingdom has also become one of the World's foremost Body Painting Artists, as can be attested two by her winning the World Body Painting Champion Award two out of the last three years.

Carolyn's attention to detail and natural eye for color can be seen in the above photo of her 1st Place Award Winning entry at the 2009 World Bodypainting Festival held in Austria from July 13 -19. Carolyn Roper is one of the Body Artists who featured LUX Airbrush Makeup by Mehron in her World Bodypainting Festival entry. Ms. Roper used Mehron's LUX Airbrush Makeup in conjunction with Mehron's Paradise Makeup AQ to accomplish her award winning vision. Mehron is so proud that Carolyn Roper used 100% Mehron Makeup in the creation of her Award Winning Entry that captured the World Bodypainting Champion title for her a second time. 2009 World Bodypainting Festival Winners

As we wait for the remaining winners to be announced at the World Bodypainting Festival 2009 that is concluding today in Austria, we can recognize some of the winners in the competitions that have been completed, judge and awarded.

First Place for Special Effect Make Up was awarded to Yolanda Bartram, from New Zealand. Second Place was awarded to Alessandro Piva, Italy. Taking the Third Place Award was Alex Hansen, Brazil.

The 2009 World Fluoro Award was awarded to Agnieszka Glinska & Joanna Ciesla, Poland. Receiving the Second Place Award was Wolf Reicherter, Germany. Third Place went to Birgit Mörtl, Austria

The 2009 Amateur Award in the Brush/Sponge Catergory First Place was awarded to
David Noah, Israel. Taking home Second Place was Martina Rom, Austria. The Third Place Amateur Brush/Sponge 2009 Award was taken back to France by Karen Savard.

From Canada, Lucie Brouillard received the First Place Award for Facepainting sponsored by Mehron. Keeping the Second Place Award in Austria was Gabriele Hajek-Renner. Bringing the Third Place Award back to the USA, the Home of Mehron, was John Vargas.

Mehron applauds all the participants in the 2009 World Bodypainting Festival and extends Congrtaulations to all the Award Winners.
