Carolyn Roper Wins 1st Place at WBF

Carolyn Roper, the 2007 World Body Painting Champion, took the Award home again in 2009. Ms. Roper who is an accomplished Makeup Artist residing in the United Kingdom has also become one of the World's foremost Body Painting Artists, as can be attested two by her winning the World Body Painting Champion Award two out of the last three years.

Carolyn's attention to detail and natural eye for color can be seen in the above photo of her 1st Place Award Winning entry at the 2009 World Bodypainting Festival held in Austria from July 13 -19. Carolyn Roper is one of the Body Artists who featured LUX Airbrush Makeup by Mehron in her World Bodypainting Festival entry. Ms. Roper used Mehron's LUX Airbrush Makeup in conjunction with Mehron's Paradise Makeup AQ to accomplish her award winning vision. Alex Hansen and Special Effects Makeup

Alex Hansen the 2008 World Bodypainting Festival Winner, placed third in the world at the 2009 Bodypainting Festival in the category of Special Effects Makeup demonstrating his abilities in all the disciplines of Makeup Artistry. With an entry that would make horror film monsters scream, Mr. Hansen pushed the envelop of Special Effects Makeup and created a character that was extreme gore. Creating a character whose body organs were on the outside of his body, Alex stretched the limits of Special Effects Makeup. Alex Hansen designed the Headpiece on his Special Effects inside out man, and received a hand from Yolanda Bartram who used her skill with fabrication to assist in bringing Mr. Hansen's vision to the stage.

Using LUX Airbrush Makeup, Alex Hansen completed the makeup artistry involved in creating his Special Effects Character for presentation to fellow makeup artists from over forty countries who attended and entered the competitions at the 2009 World Bodypainting Festival. Mr. Hansen continually expands into all aspects of Makeup Artistry and blends various Makeup Disciplines into each other to create everything from the horrific to the stunningly beautiful.
