The 2010 NABPC Winners Part 3

Awards for Airbrush Body Painting were made at the First Annual 2010 North American Body Painting Championship (NABPC) held at The Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11-14, 2010. With films such as Avatar and High Definition Video demanding the even coverage that Air Brush Makeup can provide, the need for skilled Air Brush Makeup Artists will grow. The Community of Body Painting Makeup Artists are more than skilled at Air Brush Makeup Application. When skilled Body Painting Makeup Artists have a air brush gun in their hand the results are simply amazing. Body Painting Competitions such as NABPC organized by Mark Reid, Master Body Painter squeezes the trigger on the creative juices of the Body Painting Makeup Artist. All Body Painting Artists go leave a competition like NABPC with the prize of honed skills, new techniques, and comradeship with Body Painting Makeup Artists from around the globe

A competition would not be a competition without a Champion declared, the First Annual North American Body Painting Champion of 2010 in the category of AirBrush Body Painting is Alexander Hansen, with second place going to, Nicholas Herrera, followed by Jesse Thoreson taking third place, Adam Ray in Fourth Place and Finishing in 5th place was Ragen Mendenhall. Congratulations are in order for the top five AirBrush Body Painting Makeup Artists on their accomplishments at the historic 1st Annual NABPC.

As the Art of Body Painting continues to grow, AirBrush Makeup Body Painting Artists will continue to evolve in both technique and color usage. Featured Artist Mario Ink

Mehron Blog readers have met Mario Ink previously, tonight the Mehron Blog takes a look at what he has been up to since the last time he was featured. Mario is a Chicago Makeup Artist who specializes in High Fashion Makeup and Air Brush Makeup, often combining the two. In fact at the Air Brush Academy in Chicago, Mario Ink teaches Air Brush Beauty Makeup Application. The Chicago based Air Brush Academy was among the first to receive LUX Airbrush Makeup by Mehron. Under the guidance of Mario Ink, The Air Brush Academy was using LUX Airbrush Makeup months before it was released to the public in 2009.

Mario Ink was a featured Makeup Artist for Mehron at the 2009 Makeup Show LA, where he showed his skills at Extreme Beauty Makeup using a combination of Mehron Makeup from across all lines of Mehron Makeup Collections. Throughout the year Mario Ink is involved in many projects in the Chicago Area, Glam Live, Neon Barbie and the Body Painters Ball are just a few of the events and projects that Mario Ink has undertaken since we last visited him.

Recently during Valentine's Week, Mario Ink was sponsored by Mehron Makeup at an event entitled "Bad Romance" after the Lady GaGa song by the same title. The Theme of the event was of course the Lady GaGa Look which Mario Ink accomplished with his Makeup Artist Skills and Mehron Makeup.

Mario Ink continues to practice his craft and produce innovative Makeup Applications across the spectrum of Glamor Makeup, Fashion Makeup, Beauty Makeup, Extreme Beauty Makeup and Face and Body Painting Makeup. Dan Baron, Marketing Director of Windy City Media, a company that produces the events where Mario can be found, recently shared a picture of a recent Mario Ink creation that he calls "Day of the Dead", (Photo Above). Currently demonstrating at the Halloween & Party Expo in Houston, TX, USA, Alex Hansen is a Canadian based Makeup Artist who has won numerous Makeup Awards throughout the world for his artistic creations. Originally from Brazil, Alex now resides in Canada when not traveling the world creating art in all forms. Mr. Hansen is a fixture at world body painting events including Color Mundo in Canada, FABAIC held in Orlando, Fl, and the World BodyPainting Festival held in Seeboden, Austria where each year he demonstrates a new vision in Makeup Applications. At most major Makeup Events throughout the World you can Find Alex Hansen entering the competitions, teaching classes and instructing at Seminars.

Alex Hansen is currently involved in unique Makeup Studio and Shop in Montreal named Studio Backstage, where classes, jam sessions and creativity is always on the agenda. Along with his participation in Studio Backstage, Mr. Hansen is a Freelance Artist who takes on projects around the world for commercial entities as well as artistic ventures.
