Currently demonstrating at the Halloween & Party Expo in Houston, TX, USA, Alex Hansen is a Canadian based Makeup Artist who has won numerous Makeup Awards throughout the world for his artistic creations. Originally from Brazil, Alex now resides in Canada when not traveling the world creating art in all forms. An expert in Airbrushing, Alex is showing the colors of Lux Airbrush Makeup by Mehron to the attendees at the Halloween & Party Expo in Houston, TX.

Mr. Hansen is a fixture at world body painting events including Color Mundo in Canada, FABAIC held in Orlando, Fl, and the World BodyPainting Festival held in Seeboden, Austria where each year he demonstrates a new vision in Makeup Applications. At most major Makeup Events throughout the World you can Find Alex Hansen entering the competitions, teaching classes and instructing at Seminars.

Alex Hansen is currently involved in unique Makeup Studio and Shop in Montreal named Studio Backstage, where classes, jam sessions and creativity is always on the agenda. Along with his participation in Studio Backstage, Mr. Hansen is a Freelance Artist who takes on projects around the world for commercial entities as well as artistic ventures.

Alex Hansen Places 2nd in the World

Alex Hansen won the Second Place Award for Airbrush at 2009 World Bodypainting Festival. Mr. Hansen is no stranger to world accolades as he has placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th in many contests throughout the world in Makeup Artistry. For this years Competition Mr. Hansen used all the colors of LUX Airbrush Makeup by Mehron and painted with both stencils and free hand.

The patient model for Alex Hansen was Sarah Dean, who wins the award for patience and strength for her ability to stand for the duration of the body painting and her skill in balancing the intricate head piece that capped the Bodypainting performed by Mr. Hansen. Following his 2008 First Place Award, Mr. Hansen did not shy away from experimenting and produced an extravagant final presentation for the judges and audience to view at the 2009 World Bodypainting Festival.

As you examine the photos of Sarah Dean wearing the entry created by Mr. Hansen the intricate details and precision control of colors can be discerned. Although Alex Hansen is already an old pro at the World Bodypainting Festival, this was the maiden festival for LUX Airbrush Makeup. LUX Airbrush Makeup was introduced to the public earlier in 2009 and this its first appearance in the hands of Master Body Painters at the World Bodypainting Festival.

THIS WEEK - FABAIC 2009

This week, May 20th is the beginning of the Face and Body Art International Convention for 2009 in Orlando, Fl., USA. Visionary Face Painters and Body Painters from around the world will be converging at this annual event to learn, teach, share and compete. AIRBRUSH "From Realistic Clothing to Futuristic Armor"

On Saturday at Color Mundo 2009, May 2nd from - 1:00 to 4:00 pm, Alex Hansen, who won 1st place at the Canadian Body-Painting Championship Color Mundo 2007, and 1st place at World Body-Painting and Asian Body-Painting Championship 2008, will present a workshop entitled, AIRBRUSH "From Realistic Clothing to Futuristic Armor". Mr. Hansen will be sharing his knowledge of color shading and highlighting while stressing the use of stencils to create complex body painting designs.

Alex Hansen recently demonstrated the uses of Lux Airbrush Makeup by Mehron at the Bodyssey held Toronto, Canada on April 3-5, 2009. Alex created astounding creations at Bodyssey using the new Mehron Airbrush Makeup and at the Color Mundo Workshop that he will be presenting at Color Mundo, he will be sharing these abilities with attendees. Mr. Hansen is a Master Body Painter using Airbrush Makeup to achieve his designs and has travelled the world using his skills to dazzle the audiences at events throughout the Body Painting World.
