IMATS,Jinny, Michael, Sindy and Halloween

Mehron Makeup and 24 Prince Restaurant in New York City, collaborated on a Michael Jackson themed Halloween in 2009. Mehron Makeup was there to supply the Makeup for guests who wanted to become Michael Jackson or people relevant to Michael Jackson's life for a Michael Jackson Themed Halloween Party, complete with contests and prizes. Attendees were costumed as Michael Jackson from various stages of his life, Elizabeth Taylor, Lisa Marie Presley, and others who shared the Michael Jackson Spotlight. With a combination of Mehron Halloween Makeup, Face and Body Painting Makeup, Professional Theatrical Makeup, along with Beauty Makeup from the ever expanding Mehron Beauty Makeup Collection guests at the Halloween 2009 Party at 24 Prince Restaurant became a part of the Michael Jackson Mystique.

At the Halloween 2009 Halloween 2009 Party at 24 Prince Restaurant, it was expected to see not only one, but many Michael Jackson's in attendance. At the June 2011 International Makeup Artist and Trade Show (IMATS) in Los Angles attended by Mehron Makeup and the traveling Mehron Makeup Exhibition Booth, Jinny was the Featured Makeup Artist for Mehron. As the Featured Artist demonstrating Face and Body Painting Makeup for the Makeup Industry Professionals who attend the L.A. IMATS, Jinny had just completed a Black and White Face and Body Painting on Model Sindy Perez with Paradise Makeup AQ by Mehron when Michael Jackson ( a Micheal Jackson impersonator) showed up at the Mehron Exhibition Booth to pose with Sindy Perez in her freshly painted black and white Body Painting by Jinny.



The Micheal Jackson look a like dressed in black and white, was the perfect match for the Black and White Body Painting just completed by Jinny with Paradise Makeup AQ for the guests of the IMATS LA Exhibition Hall. Running into Michael Jackson is expected during Halloween, but Jinny, Sindy and the Mehron Team who staff the traveling Mehron Exhibition Booth were all surprised to have a visit from Michael Jackson in June at the IMATS LA for Makeup Professionals. Although if Michael were still alive, it might really not be so surprising to see him at a Makeup Professionals Event like IMATS given his use of makeup throughout his career.



IMATS is a premiere makeup show for Makeup Professionals that has six shows a year in four different countries. The next LA IMATS will be on June 23-24, 2012. The remaining 2011 IMATS Shows will be in Sydney, Australia, September 24-25, and Toronto, Canada, November 12-13. The 2012 IMATS begin in London, England February 4-5 and then heads to New York for and April 14-15 show. At every IMATS in every venue, you are guaranteed to see the newest in makeup, the finest in Makeup Artists, educational workshops and speakers and some of the most fascinating Student Makeup Competitions, you are however not guaranteed to see Michael Jackson even when Mehron Brings the Traveling Exhibition Booth with world renowned Featured Makeup Artists like Jinny and Models like Sindy Perez.

One Month Till New York IMATS

New York Area Makeup Artists should have the dates April 9-10, 2011 marked on your calendars, The 2011 New York IMATS will be in at 82 Mercer Street in the heart of Soho. Situated between Broome and Spring Streets, 82 Mercer Street offers a classic New York early 1900's feel with brick walls and expansive space divided into three floors. The New York International Makeup Artists Trade Show (IMATS) will join a long list of events that have been hosted at this brick faced New York Building, once the neighborhood of bustling tenements and industrial activity.

IMATS brings to 82 Mercer Street everything Makeup on April 9-10, 2011 with a two day spectacular that includes, Guest Speakers, Seminars and Exhibits. Highlighting both days of the New York IMATS is the Student Competition. The Winners of IMATS Student Competition often rocket to new heights in their Makeup Career by winning such a prestigious competition. On Saturday April 9th, 2011, The Student Competition theme for the beauty/fantasy category will be Tribal Beauty, contestants have two hours to complete their Tribal Beauty Makeup Look and present it to the judges. On Sunday April 11, 2011, the category for the Student Competition is character/prosthetic with a theme of Mythical Creatures. Students have three hours in the character/prosthetic category to complete their Mythical Creature with the prosthetic material given to them on the day of the competition.

Along with the Student Competitions, the New York IMATS is two days filled with seminars, exhibitions and guest speakers covering all aspects of Makeup Artistry. Mehron will be on the Exhibition Floor at Booth 306 for the New York IMATS. In New York City in 1927 Mehron Makeup was a Theatrical Makeup Company that supplied the Performers of Theaters large and small from Soho to Broadway with fresh hand made makeup. Make-Up Artist Magazine

The latest Make-Up Artist Magazine to be released is the March/April 2011 Issue 89, features two covers. A Special New York Edition has been released in preparation for the International Makeup Artist Trade Show (IMATS) that will take place at 82 Mercer Street in New York City, NY on April 9-10, 2011. Make-Up Artist Magazine produces the IMATS around the world presenting six shows in four countries throughout the year.

As with every Issue of Make-Up Artist Magazine, The March/April 2011 covers all aspects of Makeup Artistry with articles covering the Oscars to New York Fashion Week along with regular features throughout the magazine.
