The Fall 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in New York City marked the maiden flight for Mehron Beauty Makeup on the esteemed runways of New York Fashion Week. Partnering with Athens Fashion Designer Vassilios Kostetsos, Mehron Makeup Artists applied Mehron Beauty Makeup to his models to complete the look of the Fashion Collection that he was premiering on September 13, 2009.
Mehron went on to participate in the Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week and is poised to work with Fashion Designers during the upcoming 2010 Mercedes-Benz New York Fall Fashion Week which is being held at Lincoln Center September 9-16, 2010. On September 13, 2009 Mehron, Leaders in Theatrical Makeup since 1927, proved to the fashion industry that Mehron is also the innovator of Fashion Beauty Makeup at the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Teaming up with Greek designer Vassilios Kostetsos, Mehron supplied a team of six Makeup Artists under the direction of Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson, who represented Mehron's vision of beauty makeup for this premiere event. Raedawn expressed her vision of the presentation, “We used a lot of Aura Bronzing Gel as well as Mehron’s Gold E.Y.E Cream to achieve the golden faces. We made the eyes dramatic with some brown shadow and dark brown mascara, however upon Vassilios’ request, we skipped the eyeliner and false lashes to keep that natural and fresh look.”
