For the third consecutive Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Show, Mehron Makeup provided a team of Professional Makeup Artists and Mehron Makeup to accentuate the newest collection by Fashion Designer Toni Francesc. A View of "Artificial Life" at Fashion Week

Bringing his intensity and enthusiasm to New York from Barcelona, Spain, Fashion Designer Toni Francesc arrived at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with a collection that is marvelously reflective of modern urban life, yet is ready for the future with tapered geometric lines in mineral colors. Mr. Francesc breathes life into an array of fabric choices that spans the clothing needs of life from casual wear to formal wear. The muted color choices of the Toni Francesc Fall 2010 Fall Collection, entitled "Artificial Life" include black, charcoal, steel, gray, rust and aluminum. To complete the look of his "Artificial Life" Fashion Collection, Mr. Francesc chose to partner with Mehron Makeup, innovators of Fashion Forward Makeup. The Mehron Makeup Artist Team led by Freelance Beauty Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson completed the Francesc "Artificial Life" Look by using the mineral colors of Mehron Metallic Powder blended with Mixing Liquid for the lips of the models. Eyes were highlighted with an undefined smokey look created using Mehron Black Detailz, and Mehron Eye Makeup. Models were treated to a spa treatment in a bottle with Mehron Velvet Finish Primer to moisturize and revitalize their winter beaten skin. Using a a light application of Mehron Professional Foundation Makeup with a dusting of Metallic Powder the models were ready to present the "Artificial Life" Fashion Collection of Toni Francesc to the world.

Your Invitation to Fashion Week

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Lincoln Center The Studio, the curtain rises on another thematic fashion collection by Spanish Fashion Designer Toni Francesc as part of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. For this season, Mr. Francesc has entitled his collection Garuda, without seeing his newest creations one can only guess at how he will tie it all together.

Garuda an ancient mythical creature with roots in Hinduism and Buddhism has many incarnations throughout history. Depicted in various forms by cultures throughout thousands of years, Garuda is a larger than life eagle, a golden body man with a white face, red feathers and a crown, enormous predatory birds, and a bird with a wing span that is miles wide and when in flight can block out the sun and cause hurricanes. As each culture memorializes Garuda in sculpture and art, each also assigns different color schemes to it. In India culture the story of Garuda is described in the epic book, Mahabharata. Garuda is said to have hatched from an egg in a fiery inferno equal to a cosmic blast that engulfs the end of an age.

In Buddhism mythology the Garuda are depicted as predatory birds with an expansive wing span and are golden winged. In Indonesia lore Garuda is linked to the concept of a Phoenix and is a National Symbol. Depictions throughout the cultures and the ages vary from a red winged bird to a golden winged bird, all assign super powers and some a quest for immortality.

We can only guess at how the newest Fashion Collection named Garuda by Toni Francesc which will premier at the New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show will intertwine with the mythology of Garuda. Will it be in the colors of red and gold, expansive flowing fabric, or the incorporation of a feathery look. When the curtain opens at 9:00 PM at The Studio in Lincoln Center, the world will witness how Mr. Francesc has interpreted the timeless myth of Garuda, and how the Mehron Makeup Artist Team led by Fashion Makeup Artist Jackie Mgido will accent the look with the true, bold vibrant colors of Mehron Makeup which they will choose from across all the Mehron Makeup Lines. A Look at The Fashion of Urban Forest Part 2

Thanks to the camera of Photographer Richard Esposito, the Urban Forest Fashion Presentation by Barcelona Fashion Designer Toni Francesc was captured from the empty dressing room to the final bow. The Mehron Makeup Artist Team of Jackie Mgdio, Raedawn Johnson, Meagan Hester, Annabel Vargas, Kimberly Anderson, Krista Pruent and Amy Zudnowski-Roeder completed the theme that Mr. Francesc envisioned for his thematic Fashion Presentation at the Fall 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City. Artificial Life,Toni Francesc, Mehron Makeup

Entitled, "Artificial Life", the Fall 2010 Fashion Collection by Toni Francesc was presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City on February 16, 2010. Displaying a Collection of designs with a urban-chic-modern look that could also be worn on the International Space Station, Mr. Francesc brought basic color to life with geometric detail. Featuring charcoal, steel gray, aluminum, rust and black, the Francesc Collection is both elegant and practical. Mr. Francesc called upon Mehron Makeup to complete the look with a black eye treatment and gold dust. The team of Mehron Makeup Artists under the direction of Raedawn Johnson complemented the "Artificial Life" Collection with lip coloring made by blending Mehron Mixing Liquid with Gold Metallic Powder, creating the perfect contrast to the industrial, space age colors, cuts and fabric of Mr. Francesc's newest fashion introductions.

Photographer Alberto Vincenzo Ruotolo witnessed the "Artificial Life" Fashion Collection presentation from the Makeup Room preparation to the finale through the eye of his camera's viewfinder. Flying in from Barcelona, Spain, Fashion Designer Toni Francesc came to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with a Futuristic Fall 2010 Collection ready to greet alien life forms on any planet. Presenting for the second time under the white historic tents of Bryant Park, Mr. Francesc came prepared with a Fall Collection that would easily have won the hearts of all women abroad the Starship Enterprise, and one that also blends perfectly into modern urban industrial life. Toni Francesc's Fall 2010 Collection entitled "Artificial Life" brings the future to the present. From his Casual Wear to his Formal Wear every piece in the "Artificial Life" Fashion Collection of Toni Francesc featured comforting fabrics cut in precision futuristic lines that made the dark colored collection feel inviting and warm. Concentrated in black, charcoal, steel, and rust, Mr. Francesc's Fall 2010 Presentation was in stark contrast to the return of vibrant colors that other Designers at Fashion Week tended to favor.

By naming his Fall 2010 Fashion Collection Presentation, "Artificial Life", Designer Toni Francesc is hinting at the Star Trekkie look of his collection and is inviting humans to be well attired when interacting with extraterrestrial life in the future as they blend in with modern cityscape of steel, aluminum and concrete now. To complete the look of the future, Toni Francesc called upon Mehron, the Makeup of the Future with roots set deep into the past. Discarding the usual Fashion Makeup colors found in L.I.P. Cream, CHEEK Cream, and E.Y.E Cream, a Team of Mehron Makeup Artists, led by Beauty Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson, delved into the future by creating a shiny mineral look using Mehron Mixing Liquid blended with Metallic Powder.

The Mehron Makeup Team first treated the Models to a refreshing, skin soothing application of Velvet Finish Primer, a natural based skin serum that contains a stable Vitamin C and Vitamin E that is easily absorbed for deep moisturizing. An undefined eye look was created using Mehron Black Detailz, and E.Y.E Powder for an industrial, modern look that will carry on through space travel. After a Professional Cream Mehron Foundation, the faces were accented with Gold Metallic Powder, and the lips colored using the blended Gold Metallic Powder and Mixing Liquid.
