Next IMATS 2011 - Toronto


The 2011 IMATS Sydney is in the books, and preparation for 2011 IMATS Toronto begins. IMATS (International Make-Up Artist and Trade Show) presents six shows in four Countries bringing together all aspects of the Cosmetic Industry. At each IMATS Show throughout its yearly world tour, Professionals from throughout the world are featured Guest Speakers and Instructors, A highlight of every IMATS is the Student Competition, a thematic challenge for the world's most promising student Makeup Artists.

The 2011 IMATS Sydney featured a Mehron Exhibition Booth that was produced by Kelly Virgona, along with assistance from Natalee Davies, and featuring Makeup Artist Amy Grigg who produced two Face and Body Painting Works on Model Kate Emma at the Mehron Exhibition Booth.

Makeup Artist Amy Grigg created a three dimension flower pattern on Model Kate Emma using Mehron Liquid latex from the Special Effects Collection of Mehron Makeup Products which will see a lot of use in a little over a month on Halloween Night.

The Mehron Team at the IMATS Sydney

Kelly Virgona was bestowed the task of getting the Mehron Exhibition Booth open for the IMATS Sydney 2011. Enlisting Natalee Davies, Kelly was able to get the Mehron Exhibition Booth set up, stocked and selling Mehron Makeup to the Professional Makeup Artists attending the IMATS Sydney 2011. As is the tradition at the Mehron Makeup Exhibition Booth that has traveled to Austria, Germany, Canada, across the USA and to Australia, a Special Guest Makeup Artist was at the there throughout the two event doing live Makeup Demonstrations. The Special Guest Makeup Artist at the 2011 IMATS Sydney was Amy Grimm with Kate Emma doing the modeling.

On each of the two day event special Guest Makeup Artist Amy Grigg took on a major Body Painting using Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ, including the newest addition to The Paradise Collection, Nunace, Metallic Powder, and even Mehron Liquid Latex for Prosthetic Fx for effects. As Kelly and Natalee staffed the Mehron Exhibition Booth, Amy Grigg was busy creating a body painting on Model Kate Emma in the midst of the Mehron Makeup Shoppers.

Mehron at IMATS Sydney

Body Painting with Paradise Makeup AQ
The International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) Sydney was held on September 24, 2011 and September 25, 2011 in Australia. When there is a major Makeup Event in the world, Mehron Makeup can be found. At the IMATS Sydney, Mehron was once again represented by Mehron Australian Ambassador, Makeup Artist Kelly Virgona from Sparkles Entertainment and Productions. Kelly along with Natalee Davies took charge of the Mehron Booth, presenting Mehron Makeup while answering questions and demonstrating the wide range of Mehron Face and Body Painting Makeup as well as Mehron Beauty Makeup,and Studio and Stage Makeup. The Mehron Exhibition Booth that travels the world, most recently it was in Berlin, Germany for The Makeup Show Europe, features a Special Guest Makeup Artist who does live Makeup Applications to demonstrate the diversity, color and quality of Mehron Makeup.

At the 2011 IMATS Sydney, Makeup Artist Amy Grigg was the featured Mehron Makeup Artist. Ms. Grigg has been both a competitor and a judge at International Face and Body Painting Competitions and was also an Instructor at Face And Body Painting International Convention in Miami, Florida, USA. For Day 1 of IMATS Sydney, Amy Grigg created a character nicknamed "Steam Punk" using hand made Prosthetic formed with Mehron Liquid Latex. For Color, of course Amy used the semi-soft, water activated cake makeup favored by Face and Body Painting Makeup Artists throughout the world, Paradise Makeup AQ. Using Mehron Metallic Powder allowed Ms. Grigg to achieve a look of pure gold within her Face and Body painting. Making use of the wide selection of new Paradise Make AQ, NUANCE presented at the Mehron Makeup Booth, Amy Grigg was able to achieve a hue and depth that gave her art a true color interplay. The Model for the work of Special Mehron Guest Makeup Artist Amy Grigg for her rendition of "Steam Punk" was Kate Emma.

Along with her Makeup Demonstrations at the Mehron Makeup Display Booth on the floor of Exhibition Hall at IMATS Sydney, Amy Grigg was also the photographer for the photos in tonight's Mehron Blog. Congratulations to Kelly Virgona, Natalee Davies, Amy Grigg and Kate Emma for having a successful presentation for Mehron at the IMATS Sydney 2011.

Photos from BPF Academy

The World Bodypainting Festival held annually in Seebodeen, Austria is not only an exhibition for the World's Premier Body Painting and Face Painting Makeup Artists, it is also a learning symposium. The World Bodypainting Festival offers a full schedule of Classes, Workshops, and Seminars for Body Painting Makeup Artists and Face Painting Makeup Artists for all levels through the World Bodypainting Academy.

Kelly Virgona, Australasian Agent for Mehron, Inc., flew to Austria to be a part of the 2010 World Bodypainting Festival held in Seebodeen, Austria on July 12-18. Kelly has represented Mehron and been a member of the Mehron Team at many Makeup Conventions, Shows, Festivals and Exhibits held throughout the world. When not representing Mehron around the world, at home in Australia, Ms. Virgona fills her work schedule with events for Sparkles Entertainment and Promotions. As part of the Mehron Team at the 2010 World Bodypainting Festival, Kelly Virgona busily spent her days at any event where Mehron was represented. the Instructors for two of the Classes at the World Bodypainting Academy were sponsored by Mehron. Jinny and Mark Reid, World Renowned Body Painting Makeup Artists, were instructors at the Mehron Sponsored Classes at the World Bodypainting Academy, Kelly Virgona provides us with a glimpse of these classes from her camera lens.

The Children of FABAIC

The 2010 face and Body Art International Convention is now a memory, not only for the Professional Makeup Artists from around the world who attended, competed and enjoyed the week, but also for forty two children who will never forget their experience at FABAIC. The children classes at FABAIC were sponsored by Mehron with Mehron Team Member Kelly Virgona and Mehron Artist Mark Reid instructing. Mehron had shirts made for the 42 children who participated that read, "Future Paradise Artist", and provided each child in attendance with an eight color palette of Paradise Makeup AQ.

The children wrote letters to Mr. Martin, Martin Melik, President of Mehron thanking him for the Mehron gifts and expressing the fun they had at FABAIC.Here is a samplings of the letters to date.

This letter signed by Carolina, reads; "I love my Mehron Paints you gave me. I had so much fun at the FABAIC. I am 5 but will always remember your gift. Carolina", accompanied by a drawing of a rainbow, flowers and a heart.

The letter signed by Nico reads, "Dear Mr. Martin, You must be a mind reader because your gift was perfect. Thank you for the Mehron paints. The Fabaic was so much fun! I love your paints! Love, Nico" Nico drew a picture of a crustacean to sign off.

A third letter that was signed with only a drawing of a powerful flowers with clouds reads," Dear Mr. Martin, Thank you for the Mehron Paints that you gave me in the FABAIC young artist class. I am also proud to wear the Mehron shirt. My Mom will buy me Mehron paints now due to your generosity."

Mehron is proud to have sponsored these young artists and have Mehron Team Member Kelly Virgona from Australia and Master Body Painting Artist Mark Reid instruct them in the art of painting with Paradise Makeup AQ. These children represent the future creativity of this art form. Just as the children expressed their delight in being a part of the FABAIC young Artists program, the Mehron Team was inspired and delighted by the creative juices that flowed from these future artists.
