The World Bodypainting Festival held annually in Seebodeen, Austria is not only an exhibition for the World's Premier Body Painting and Face Painting Makeup Artists, it is also a learning symposium. The World Bodypainting Festival offers a full schedule of Classes, Workshops, and Seminars for Body Painting Makeup Artists and Face Painting Makeup Artists for all levels through the World Bodypainting Academy.

Kelly Virgona, Australasian Agent for Mehron, Inc., flew to Austria to be a part of the 2010 World Bodypainting Festival held in Seebodeen, Austria on July 12-18. Kelly has represented Mehron and been a member of the Mehron Team at many Makeup Conventions, Shows, Festivals and Exhibits held throughout the world. When not representing Mehron around the world, at home in Australia, Ms. Virgona fills her work schedule with events for Sparkles Entertainment and Promotions. As part of the Mehron Team at the 2010 World Bodypainting Festival, Kelly Virgona busily spent her days at any event where Mehron was represented. the Instructors for two of the Classes at the World Bodypainting Academy were sponsored by Mehron. Jinny and Mark Reid, World Renowned Body Painting Makeup Artists, were instructors at the Mehron Sponsored Classes at the World Bodypainting Academy, Kelly Virgona provides us with a glimpse of these classes from her camera lens.

Create Your Own Reality - Body Art Fashion Show

The World Bodypainting Festival is about to open its 12th year of festivities. Billed as a choreography of music, dance and show, The World Body Painting Festival (WBF) encompasses art in all its forms, providing a showcase and community for artists from around the world. Featuring Artists who are on the frontier of art in photography, music, makeup, dance, and more, the WBF has grown into a Worldwide Festival that merges artistic expression into a collage of expression. This year the Body Art Fashion Show will present a new challenge to the creativity of selected artists. The Theme of the Body Art Fashion Show is, "Create Your Own Reality".

The Theme of the Body Art Fashion Show is summarized by the producers of the WBF Fashion Department as:

"Since the beginning of our history, humans have used our outer appearance to express our inner selves to the outside world. Within each culture and era rules are built and broken as trailblazers, visionaries and artists create new realities around themselves. Have you ever stopped to ask how much of your appearance is an expression of yourself? Which parts have you chosen to share with the outside world? Which aspects of your dress are dictated by the time and culture in which you live? Ten female body artists from around the globe have taken it up on themselves to breakdown these questions and forge a new reality. Body Painting at The Makeup Show New York 2010

Attendees on the second day of The Makeup Show New York 2010 witnessed a second Body Painting creation by Jinny Houle using Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ, the water activated cake makeup that is preferred by Body Painting Makeup Artists for its true consistent color pigmentation. Paradise Makeup AQ is a co-creation of Mehron and Jinny Houle, renowned Face Painting and Body Painting Makeup Artist. Sindy Perez was the model for Jinny Houle's second body painting creation at The Makeup Show New York 2010, and after completion was photographed in Times Square by Richard Esposito.

Photographer Richard Esposito decided on Times Square as the back drop for the second day of photographing Model Sindy Perez as body painted with Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ by Jinny Houle for its activity and color contrast. In 1927 Times Square was a significant area of New York during the founding of Mehron Makeup. In 1927 when Mehron was creating his Makeup by hand in a loft off Broadway, Times Square was becoming the new Theater District for Manhattan. Massive Play Houses were being constructed around Times Square as Mehron Makeup was becoming the Professional Theatrical Makeup of choice by the ever growing Theater Industry. Over eight decades later Times Square has changed but Mehron Makeup is still the true color, consistent Professional Theatrical Makeup that Performers on Broadway crave. Mehron and The Makeup Show NY 2010

The Makeup Show New York 2010 was the venue for the Mehron debut of the Makeup Foundation of the Future, Celebré Pro-HD Foundation. The Mehron Exhibition at The Makeup Show New York 2010 featured presentations by guest Makeup Artist Raedawn Johnson, who introduced Celebré Pro-HD Foundation to the attendees at the Mehron Exhibition. The debut of Celebré Pro-HD Foundation wasn't the only Mehron Presentation available to the attendees at this Makeup extravaganza. The Mehron Exhibition contained all the Mehron Makeup Collections from across all the Mehron Makeup Lines including the world famous Paradise Makeup, AQ. To demonstrate the use of Mehron Paradise Makeup AQ, the co-creator, Jinny was on hand along with one of the finest Body Painting Models in the world, Sindy Perez.

Jinny, as is usually the case, dazzled the Makeup Show New York Attendees with her gifted imagination and command of Body Painting Makeup. Each of the two days of The Makeup Show New York, Jinny, President of Jinny Make-Up Artiste, Inc., created a Body Painting Masterpiece. After the completion of each Masterpiece, Emmy Award Winning Photographer Richard Esposito photographed Sindy Perez on the streets of Manhattan. The Art of Avatar Makeup

Months before the release of Avatar the Mehron Blog told readers about the exciting changes that were coming in the use of Body Painting and Theatrical Makeup because of the release of this James Cameron classic. Since the release of Avatar, Makeup Artists around the world have become fascinated with the Avatar look and are adding their own artistic twists to the Avatar Look. At the recently completed 2010 Halloween & Party Expo held in Houston, Jinny Houle, while demonstrating the use of Paradise Makeup AQ, was caught by the cameras of the Houston Chronicles with her version of Avatar. Jinny turned Model Sindy Perez into an Avatar and was featured in the Houston Chronicle. out of the hundreds of photos of Makeup and Costumes that the Houston Chronicle reporter and photographer could have chosen to use in their feature story about the 2010 Halloween & Makeup Expo held in Houston, they chose to use Sindy Perez with her Avatar Look created by Jinny Houle

On Body Painting Makeup Artist Web Sites versions of Avatars are appearing daily. Some Artists are just honing their skills, some are adding their personal twists to the Avatar look and some are wondering if their Avatar is a better interpretation of what James Cameron had in mind for Avatar. Holiday Face Painting

Holiday gatherings, festivals and parties are on the horizon. The last leaves falling to the ground and the shorter days are a sure sign that Thanksgiving will soon be here, quickly followed by the winter Holidays. Annual events and parties mark the end of the harvest. The final apple festivals, the last of the outdoor community events, and the beginning of the indoor concert season are all reminders that winter is not far away. Toronto Bodyssey

Bodyssey opens in Toronto today April 3, 2009 and runs through April 5, 2009. Bodyssey, a face and Body Paint Convention features some of the world's top Body Painting and Face Painting Artists not only in competition but as instructors. With over 36 classes to choose from the Body Paint Makeup Artist and Face Painting Makeup Artist will have a tough time choosing which classes and workshops to attend. This amazing three day event features a Body Painting Competition with a $1200 prize and a Face painting Competition with a $500 Prize.

Each of the three nights of Bodyssey has a different theme for the Makeup Artists, Body Painters and Face Painters to display their skills.
