Final Day of the Halloween & Party Expo

Mehron Fashion Makeup at NYC Fashion Week

The premier of Mehron Fashion Makeup was September 2009 on the Runways of Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week. Premiering with the Fashion Collection of Vassilios Kostetsos, Mehron assembled a team of Beauty Makeup Artists led by Raedawn Johnson to apply Mehron Beauty Makeup to the Fashion Models of Mr. Kostetsos. Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week

IMG productions will present the final Fashion Show at Bryant Park, New York City on February11-18, 2010 featuring the Fall 2010 Collections of Fashion Designers from around the World presented at the 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Plans are to move Fashion Week further Uptown after this Springs Presentation to the Lincoln Center Complex near Central Park. The Spring 2010 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Show will always be remembered as the end of the Bryant Park Fashion Show Era.

Bryant Park sits behind the world famous New York Public Library and is in the shadows of the Garment District of Manhattan. Many stalwarts of the Fashion Industry will lament the move from the original home of New York Fashion. The success of New York Fashion Week is the reason for the demise of the famous Bryant Park Venue. The Fall 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week drew over 230,000 visitors making it a Herculean logistical feat to accommodate everyone under the famous white tents of Bryant Park Fashion Week. For audience accommodation and logistics the new Lincoln Center venue may prove to be a friendly environment, however for the Design Houses who usually have a presence in the Garment District of Manhattan, the Lincoln Center venue means that they will have to deal with transporting their Collections uptown and any repairs or alterations will have to be made on unfamiliar territory. Part of the charm of the Bryant Park Venue was seeing racks of famous designer clothing being wheeled on racks down the busy New York City Streets to Bryant Park from the Garment District only blocks away. The new uptown location will mean that Collections will have to be trucked uptown. Designers may opt to present their own Collections at their Own Showrooms thus loosing the cohesiveness of Fashion Week in New York City. Putting aside the politics and logistics of continuing to stage Fashion Week in Bryant Park, the February 2010 Show promises to be one that is remembered as a marker in Fashion Industry History.

Brandalyn is an up and coming Makeup Artist who has recently moved to New York City from Detroit to use her skills in the Makeup City of the World. Mehron became acquainted with Brandalyn during the Mercedes Benz New York Fall Fashion Week in September 2009. Ms. Fulton applied the Mehron Look to the models of Vassilios Kostetsos as part of the Mehron Team of Makeup Artists under the leadership of Raedawn Johnson.

During Mercedes Benz New York Fall Fashion Week it was easy to see the natural abilities that Ms. Fulton demonstrated even under the pressures of a runway fashion show. Tirelessly enthusiastic, Ms. Fulton showed her professional adaptability and was a great asset to the Mehron Makeup Team during the premier of Mehron Fashion Makeup in conjunction with the presentation of the Vassilios Kostetsos Fashion Collection.

Born in New Jersey, Brandalyn was raised in the suburbs of Detroit and attended University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Ms. Fulton has gained a Makeup Bag full of experience in a variety of Makeup Specialties while working in Theater Productions specializing in Wig and Makeup Design. She is not only well versed in Fashion Makeup as she proved during her work with the Mehron Makeup Team during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Ms. Fulton is also skilled in Special Effects and Character Makeup, Prosthetics, Mold Making and Facial Hair and Wig Construction

You can currently find Brandalyn working as a Wig and Makeup Intern at the Julliard School while practicing her skills in Theater Makeup, Fashion Makeup and Beauty Makeup Projects. Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

Scheduled for release on March 5, 2010 Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is a Theatrical Makeup showcase. Starring Mia Wasikowska as Alice, the film is a "sequel" to Lewis Carroll's original novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. In Mr. Burton's version of Alice in Wonderland, written by Linda Woolverton based on the novels of Lewis Carroll, Alice is a 19 year old who is led into a hole by a White Rabbit back to Wonderland. As a nineteen year old Alice does not recall her previous time in Wonderland and rediscovers both Wonderland and herself throughout her new adventure

Tonight the Mehron Blog features the work of Mark Greenawalt. Mr. Greenawalt, like a lot of talented Makeup Artists dabbles in a variety of Artistic pursuits including photography, film, and music. Mark's work in Makeup includes Face Painting and Body Painting. At the 2009 AEMI World Bodypainting Festival in Shanghai, China Mark Greenawalt took the second place trophy back home to The Ahwatukee Foothills of Phoenix, Arizona where he currently resides.

Using copper LUX Airbrush Makeup by Mehron, Mark Greenawalt recreated a statue of a little mermaid by body painting a live model. This body painting of the little mermaid and others enabled him to place second in the 2009 AEMI World Bodypainting Festival in China.

Among his commercial bodypainting portfolio Mr. Greenawalt participated in the Playboy Mansion PJ and Lingerie Party in 2008 along with other award winning Bodypainting Artists, Pashur, Nick Herrera, Mark Reid, Nick Wolfe, and Brian Wolfe. Mark has also done commercial Bodypainting work for Cutty Black, Smirnoff Vodka, Smirnoff Ice, Red Stripe, Heineken, and Budlight.

Mark has been a participant in Worldwide Body Painting Competitions throughout the past decade and continues to hone his skills in the field of body painting along with his film endeavors. Combining his love of film work and his body painting skills, Mark painted eight male models in the likeness of the Oscar Statues to stand on the red carpet at Oscar Night America on more than one occasion. His ability to turn living models into statues is a unique body painting talent that is a small part of his Makeup Artist skills.
